Below are details about the market and becoming a vendor:

Acceptance & Disclosure

ACCEPTANCE: Vendor acceptance is by approval only. Receipt of application is not a guarantee of acceptance. Approved Applicants will be notified as quickly as possible. Acceptance will be based on reputation, booth / product / services mix, and sponsorships. All decisions for booth acceptance and space assignments will be at the sole discretion of the Farmers Market Coordinator, FarmersMarket.Love and the Development Corporation of Richmond (DCR). All booths must be self-supporting and present a professional appearance. DCR supplies only the designated size of space noted. Vendors must supply their own pop-up tents, tables, chairs, etc. Space location is not guaranteed.

TRASH CLEAN UP: Vendors will be responsible for their own clean-up and trash disposal.

APPROPERIATE FOR CHILDREN; Signage is subject to the discretion of the organizers; you may be asked to take down signage deemed inappropriate, etc. Vendors will be prohibited from displaying any products or signage that are deemed inappropriate for young children.

SET UP TIME: Booth set-up time is 1.5 hours before the event starts. If you are running late of if there is an emergency, please contact the market manager.

GENERATORS/ELECTRICITY: No generators will be allowed unless pre-approved by Market Coordinator. Food Trucks are exceptions in the food area. You must request electrical access. Electricity is not guaranteed.  Amplified sound or music is prohibited. Restricted products include firearms/weapons, noise makers, silly string, non-water based paints, etc., unless approved by DCR vendor committees.

TAXES: Vendors are required to collect their own Texas Sales Tax and have a copy of their Tax Resale Certificate with them.

FOOD PERMIT: Food Vendors are required to contact the Building Permit Dept and obtain their food permits prior to event. Please call 281-232- 6871. Food vendors will definitely be inspected the day of the event. For more info email: [email protected].

CANCELATION: Policies, restrictions & further information events are rain or shine: no refunds or make-up dates due to weather. Farmers market coordinator reserve the right to terminate the contract of any vendor prior to or during the 2021 event(s) and inclusion from future events for any reason including violating the terms of this contract or other posted policies. The City of Richmond, DCR, FarmersMarket.Love, Market Coordinator, Market Staff, Market Volunteers, St. John’s United Methodist Church and its board, committees, sponsors, and their representatives shall not be liable in any way from loss or damage resulting from theft, accident, acts of God, or forces of nature to any participant’s property. This includes set-up, show hours, breakdown, or any other time participants are in Market area. The same above shall not be liable for any injury to participants during the same times noted.

TEAR DOWN TIME: Tear down of vendor booth/food truck/musician will be when the market is over. All Fees are due prior to the Farmers Market Event Date.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Vendors are encouraged to promote the Farmers Market and their Vendor Booth on their business social media platforms to their followers when and where they will be at the time of the market, including days leading up to the market and the day of the market.

SAFETY: The City of Richmond, Development Corporation Richmond and FarmersMarket.Love reserves the right to cancel the event in the name of public safety at any time. If the event is cancelled, vendors have two options: 1) You can transfer your vendor space to a future farmers market date or; 2) You can get a refund.

TENTS All booths must have a 10x10 tent for a single vendor space or a 10x20 tent for double vendor spaces. White or business branded are preferred but not required. Weights are required, minimum 35 lb. weights per each leg. If the market manager, DCR, FarmersMarket.Love find a vendor's tent unsuitable for the market or lacks sufficient weight then you will be required to take the tent down.
